Hotel Facebook ads that actually drive bookings

We run ads on Facebook & Instagram that build desire, show guests why your property is worth choosing and actually drive bookings — rather than just generating clicks and empty enquiries.

Why it exists

Before we entered the market, there was a big problem

Hotels and hotel marketing agencies alike seemed to think the only way to advertise a stay was by leading with a discount, a room rate or some generic, time-sensitive offer.

Generic examples of how most hotel advertising looks. Not real campaigns.

Agencies driving room rates down

A lot of hotel advertising is built around one simple lever: make the offer cheaper.

If performance slows down, the recommendation becomes another discount.

If another property nearby launches a stronger offer, increase the discount.

If occupancy needs filling, increase it again.

Before long, the guest has been trained to believe the most important difference between you and the hotel next door is who is giving away more of the room rate.

And once you've trained the market to wait for a deal, getting those guests to pay full value becomes much harder.

Commoditisation

Leading with price commoditises your hotel. It tells the guest that their most important consideration should be how much the room costs, regardless of the experience surrounding it.

But you probably aren't the cheapest hotel in the market. And you probably don't want to be.

Your property may win because of its privacy. Its location. Its staff. The food. The design. The rooms. The views. The experience. The destination. The feeling someone gets when they stay there.

If none of that makes it into the advertising, the guest is left comparing nightly rates — and there will almost always be someone willing to go cheaper.

We'd rather build ads that make the right guest think: “That's exactly where I want to stay.”

Zero creativity, personality or education

Think of the hospitality brands you actually remember. It is rarely because they showed you a room, put their logo over it and told you to book now.

Great advertising has personality. A point of view. A story. A reason to care.

Yet so many hotel ads are almost indistinguishable: pool, drone shot, cocktail, room, sunset, logo, book now.

Beautiful content doesn't automatically explain why someone should choose your property instead of the ten others sitting in their browser tabs.

People don't just buy rooms. They buy the trip they imagine having there.

It was about time someone put hotels first

Because after all — what good is a beautiful property, a great team and an incredible guest experience if none of that is coming through in the advertising?

The method

How we build and run your advertising.

Seven stages, from understanding what makes the property worth choosing through to the creative refresh that keeps the campaign alive.

1

We start by understanding your specific unique selling points

During your discovery and onboarding calls with Veya, you'll walk us through what makes your property better, different, or simply more suited to a certain type of guest than the alternatives. The more specific, the better.

We want to understand why guests have chosen you in the past. What they mention in reviews. What they tell your reservations team. Why they come back. Why they choose one room or package over another.

And even what you're not. Why does someone choose another hotel instead? Which guests are simply not a good fit? We can build advertising around who you're not trying to attract, too.

We prepare a shoot brief that captures what makes staying with you different

Don't worry — we're not expecting your GM, chef or front desk team to memorise a ten-page script. The brief is prompt-based.

Our team prepares tailored questions and scenarios that let the people behind the property speak naturally about what guests experience, why things are done the way they are, and what makes the hotel worth choosing.

That might be your GM explaining why the property feels different. Your chef talking about where dinner comes from. A bartender making the drink guests keep mentioning in reviews. A guide showing what happens twenty minutes beyond the hotel gates.

You don't need professional actors. In most cases, the people who actually create the experience are far more convincing.

We capture the property across the experiences that actually make guests want to stay

Our production team comes to the property with professional video and photography equipment to build a large library of content specifically for advertising. We're not coming out to make one two-minute hotel film and disappear.

We move through the moments that actually make up the stay: rooms, arrival, breakfast, dining, pool, beach, wellness, activities, property details, staff, destination, views, service, sunset — and the unscripted moments in between that make the hotel feel like your hotel.

One production should give us enough variety to build completely different advertisements around completely different reasons someone might choose you.

Our team edits the video ads in your branding and style

Our editors create a distinct look and feel for your advertising — typography, motion, captions, sound design and graphic elements that complement the property rather than making every hotel we work with look identical.

Where you already have established brand guidelines, we work within them. You'll review the initial creative direction before that style is rolled out across the wider campaign.

Typically we develop the first set of ads and establish the more complex elements of the creative system first. Once approved, that becomes the editing framework for the property — so multiple editors can produce fresh variations while staying consistent with the style you've already signed off.

We put significant resources into managing your campaign day to day

Our paid-media and growth team work inside Meta Ads Manager to monitor and optimise the campaigns and make sure your budget is being spent as effectively as possible.

That means looking beyond whether an ad simply generated a cheap click. We're watching which audiences are responding, which creatives are holding attention, which angles are producing booking intent, which campaigns are becoming expensive, where frequency is climbing, which ads are fatiguing, which offers are working — and where money should move next.

Advertising performance changes constantly. Your campaign shouldn't be something an agency launches and then checks again at the end of the month.

We report on results every week, with a monthly performance review

You'll receive a weekly performance check-in with the key campaign data and what we're seeing, along with a deeper monthly review of performance and strategy.

Those deeper conversations are where we look beyond surface-level advertising metrics and start making commercially driven decisions. A lower cost per click does not necessarily mean a better campaign. A lower cost per enquiry does not necessarily mean a better guest.

Two campaigns producing the same number of bookings can have very different value to the hotel. If one is attracting short, entry-level stays while another produces longer stays, higher room categories or packages, we may deliberately move budget toward the campaign that looks more expensive inside Meta.

The objective isn't to win a dashboard. The objective is to generate profitable hotel revenue.

We shoot with every ongoing client every three months — at least

One thing you learn quickly from running video advertising is that even great creative eventually gets tired. The same audience sees it repeatedly, attention drops, performance softens — and a campaign that worked brilliantly six months ago may no longer have enough fresh ammunition.

So ongoing Veya engagements are built around regular creative refreshes rather than expecting one content shoot to feed the advertising forever. At minimum, we plan a new production cycle every three months. Properties with higher spend, major seasonal changes or a heavier campaign calendar may need it more often.

That might mean a new campaign around summer, honeymoons, festive travel, wellness, food, families, shoulder season, a new villa, a new experience — or simply finding a better way of selling the same stay.

The campaign tells us what creative we need next. Then we go and make it.

FAQ

Do we have to discount our rooms?

Read answer +

No.

Discounts can be useful when there is a commercial reason for them, but we don't believe the entire advertising strategy should be built around being cheaper.

Our preference is to understand why the right guest should choose your hotel, and build the advertising around that.

FAQ

Do you produce the content as well?

Read answer +

Yes. Creative production is a core part of how the system works.

If the campaign needs a new ad, we don't want the answer to be “hopefully the hotel sends us something usable next month.” We plan and produce the creative around what the advertising actually needs.

FAQ

Can you use our existing photos and videos?

Read answer +

Yes. We'll review your existing library before deciding what needs to be created from scratch.

Strong existing content can often be recut, repositioned and tested immediately.

FAQ

How often do you shoot?

Read answer +

For ongoing advertising clients, we plan to refresh the creative at least once per quarter.

Higher-spend or highly seasonal campaigns may require more frequent production.

FAQ

Do you manage the ads too?

Read answer +

Yes. The creative and media-buying sides of the campaign work together — what happens inside the campaign informs what we produce next.

FAQ

Do you build landing pages?

Read answer +

Where a campaign needs a dedicated landing experience, yes.

We don't believe every guest should automatically be sent to the same generic hotel homepage.

FAQ

Can you track actual bookings?

Read answer +

That depends partly on your website and booking engine. Where the technology allows it, we track the journey from advertising through to reservation and revenue.

Where full attribution isn't technically available, we'll tell you what can reliably be measured rather than pretending the data is more complete than it is.

FAQ

Do you only work with Caribbean hotels?

Read answer +

No. Veya specialises in hospitality and has a strong Caribbean perspective, but the advertising system applies to independent hotels, resorts, retreats and experience-led properties elsewhere.

FAQ

How much should we spend on Meta Ads?

Read answer +

It depends on inventory, average booking value, target markets, seasonality and growth objectives.

We'd rather determine a sensible testing and scaling budget from the economics of the property than give every hotel the same arbitrary number.

FAQ

How quickly should we expect results?

Read answer +

It depends on your booking window, offer, market, creative, destination and existing demand.

Our initial objective is to generate enough reliable data to understand which guests, ads and campaigns deserve more investment.
